BCBA/LBA Position
Board Certified Behavior Analyst / Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA/LBA)
SAFE Port ABA Therapy is seeking a compassionate and qualified BCBA/LBA to provide clinical leadership, complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise RBTs, monitor client progress, and collaborate with caregivers and other members of the treatment team.
Minimum qualifications:
- Current BCBA or BCBA-D certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Current Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license, or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
- Master’s degree or higher meeting Maryland licensure requirements
- Ability to successfully complete required criminal background screening
- Eligible to participate in Maryland Medicaid and other applicable payer networks
- Strong communication, documentation, supervision, and family-collaboration skills
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
Maryland requires behavior analysts practicing in the state to hold current BCBA/BCBA-D certification and meet the Maryland Board’s requirements for LBA licensure.
Don’t have your Maryland LBA yet?
Qualified BCBAs who are eligible for Maryland licensure may still apply. SAFE Port will provide funding toward obtaining the Maryland LBA.
To Apply: Submit your resume, BCBA certification, Maryland LBA if already issued, and contact information through our online application.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
SAFE Port ABA Therapy is seeking caring, dependable RBTs to provide direct ABA services under the supervision and clinical direction of a qualified BCBA/LBA. RBTs will help clients work toward individualized communication, social, behavioral, and daily-living goals while collecting accurate treatment data and following each client’s treatment plan.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Maryland Medicaid provider enrollment when applicable
- Ability to successfully complete required criminal background screening
- Ability to work under BCBA/LBA supervision and follow individualized treatment plans
- Reliable communication, documentation, and attendance
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Maryland currently allows qualifying Behavior Technicians (BTs) to begin the Medicaid enrollment process before obtaining RBT certification. The state’s ABA manual provides a 90-day period to submit proof of RBT certification, provided the individual meets the other enrollment requirements. Maryland also requires a high-school diploma or national equivalent for this pathway.
Interested but not RBT certified yet?
A free 40-hour RBT training course is available for eligible applicants who want to begin the process of becoming an RBT. Completion of the 40-hour training alone does not automatically result in RBT certification; additional BACB requirements must also be completed.
To Apply: Submit your resume, RBT certification if currently certified, proof of education if requested, and contact information through our online application.
SAFE Port ABA Therapy is an equal opportunity employer. Employment and clinical assignments are subject to applicable credentialing, background-check, supervision, payer-enrollment, and regulatory requirements.
